Haley & Aldrich expands Operations Risk and Compliance practice with addition of new practice leader, seasoned product stewardship team

Boston, MA (November 18, 2014) – Haley & Aldrich announced today the expansion of its Operations Risk and Compliance Practice with the addition of a new practice leader, Michael Pardus, and a four-member Product Stewardship team. This augments the company's broad environmental health and safety regulatory compliance capabilities.
Building on Haley & Aldrich’s six decades of expertise in the built environment, environmental, health and safety compliance, process engineering and legacy site management, the Operations Risk and Compliance team will focus on helping executives and operations managers of private sector organizations ensure business continuity, protect the brand, and reduce total cost of operations. The practice provides innovative services that combine vulnerability assessments with product and supply chain reliability consulting, as well as operational excellence practices, in order to ensure operational resilience.
Pardus joins Haley & Aldrich with a proven track record in developing cost-effective and innovative risk and compliance programs to drive enterprise-wide resilience and risk mitigation. He has worked with multinational companies in the U.S. and internationally, and also has expertise in vulnerability assessments, regulatory analysis and strategy planning, litigation support, strategic acquisition and divestiture due diligence.
Pardus and the Product Stewardship team will collaborate with clients to manage the health, safety and environmental aspects of raw materials and end-use products throughout their life cycle and across the supply chain to prevent or minimize negative impacts as well as maximize value.

Kirk Dammeyer, Senior Scientist and Product Stewardship Leader, has more than 20 years of regulatory expertise, and has led multi-disciplinary teams of environmental scientists, regulatory compliance experts, geologists and engineers. He has deep U.S. and international regulatory knowledge including product safety and due diligence requirements of chemicals, precursors and materials; direct and indirect food additives; and regulations and submissions under the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and the Environmental Protection Agency’s Office of Pesticide and Office of Water. He earned a Bachelor’s of Science from Bowling Green State University, and is a member of multiple professional organizations.
Laura Fell, Senior Toxicologist and Regulatory Compliance Specialist, has over 20 years of experience in toxicology as well as global safety and regulatory compliance for a wide range of household and industrial products. She excels at regulatory compliance evaluations, compilation and analysis of various toxicology data, identification of relevant toxicological endpoints, human health exposure and risk assessments, interpretation of regulations, label reviews, and analysis of adverse effects/Poison Control Center information. Fell graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a Bachelor’s of Science in Pharmacology/Toxicology, and has published and co-published a number of papers and posters in her field.
Maryann Sanders, Senior Regulatory Compliance Specialist/Microbiologist, has over 20 years’ experience working with industry, trade associations, and regulatory agencies in the U.S. and internationally. Her expertise includes human health toxicology, industrial hygiene, microbiology and regulatory affairs. She has managed compliance to US EPA, FDA and SEC rules and regulations, as well as various European and Pan-Asian regulations. Sanders earned her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. She has authored and co-authored a number of papers, and is professionally certified by the American Board of Industrial Hygiene as well as the ASCP.
Mark Jackson, Senior Toxicologist and Regulatory Compliance Specialist, has over 15 years of experience in toxicological-based risk assessment and regulatory compliance. Throughout his career, he has designed and monitored toxicity studies, developed read-across strategies, conducted exposure assessments as well as developed hazard-based concentrations based on interpretation of toxicological datasets in support of regulatory submissions. He has received his Bachelor’s and Master’s of Public Health degrees from the University of Michigan. He has authored and co-authored over 10 papers and posters, and is a member of the Society of Toxicology.
