Boise, Idaho (September 25, 2014) – Environmental and engineering company Haley & Aldrich today announced that David Anderson has joined the company as a Client Resource Strategist for our mining practice. Anderson has more than 20 years’ experience in hydrogeology, environmental permitting and compliance, remediation, closure and reclamation of large industrial sites, Brownfields, as well as active and historic mining operations.
Anderson will work with the company's industrial and mining clients to develop and execute strategic and sustainable environmental and engineering solutions to their complex challenges. He will assist clients in identifying and managing risk, minimizing environmental liabilities and navigating the multi-faceted technical, social, economic, and regulatory landscapes affecting their industries.
“I am pleased to welcome Dave to our growing mining practice and know our clients will benefit from his extensive experience and deep knowledge of the mining and heavy industries, “ said Eric Mears, Vice President and Market Segment Leader for the company's mining practice. “Dave’s unique ability to assess critical issues and think strategically to solve his clients’ most difficult challenges is a strong complement to the Haley & Aldrich culture and our approach to serving our clients.”

He has also held diverse leadership roles throughout his more than 20 years of environmental expertise ranging from regulator and technical consultant to environmental manager for one of the world’s largest natural resource companies.
Anderson is actively involved with the Society for Mining, Metallurgy, and Exploration (SME), the American Exploration and Mining Association (AEME) and the Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada. He has a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Hydrology from the University of Arizona in Tucson.
