Haley & Aldrich’s Dan Oman to deliver prestigious Hoyt Memorial Lecture at 122nd AFS Metalcasting Congress

Burlington, Mass., April 2, 2018 – Haley & Aldrich, an engineering and environmental consulting firm, announced today that on April 4, Dan Oman, Senior Associate at Haley & Aldrich, will give the esteemed Hoyt Memorial Lecture at the 122nd American Foundry Society (AFS) Metalcasting Congress in Fort Worth, Texas. The presenter of the Hoyt Memorial Lecture, established in 1938, is selected for their significant contributions to the metalcasting industry.
“Each year, a respected leader in the metalcasting industry is selected to deliver the prestigious Hoyt Memorial Lecture,” said AFS Chief Executive Officer Doug Kurkul. “Dan Oman’s 2018 lecture on ‘Changing Perceptions’ addresses an exceptionally important topic. The timing could not be better.”
Oman’s lecture, “Changing Perceptions: The Need for an ‘Unbalanced Force,” will focus on how metalcasting industry members can collectively act as a force to influence perceptions of the metalcasting industry.
Oman has been actively involved in the metalcasting industry for 35 years and AFS for 30 years. Currently he is the Chair of the Environmental Health and Safety Division, which includes technical committees on Air, Water & Waste and Health & Safety. He is also a member of the AFS Government Affairs Committee and serves on the Board of Directors for AFS-FIRST, Inc.

The Hoyt Memorial Lecture will take place on April 4, 2018 from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Fort Worth Convention Center.
