Lisa JN Bradley, Ph.D., DABT joins Haley & Aldrich as a Vice President and Senior Toxicologist and Risk Assessor

Boston, MA (September 24, 2014) – Environmental and engineering company Haley & Aldrich today announced that Lisa JN Bradley, Ph.D., DABT has joined the company as a Vice President and Senior Technical Specialist to provide expert toxicology and risk assessment services to electric and gas utilities and industrial clients.

As a trusted advisor, Dr. Bradley will bring extraordinary experience providing risk assessment strategic planning, expert testimony, and public communication skills on behalf of her clients to help them tackle their toughest challenges. Dr. Bradley has a sound understanding of electric and gas utility systems and is highly sought out for her thought leadership on assessing and communicating risks related to coal combustion products (CCPs).

With 25 years of experience, Dr. Bradley has completed risk assessments for hazardous and solid waste sites under CERCLA and RCRA programs in many EPA Regions, and under numerous state remedial programs across the country. She has served a diverse client base, with emphasis on the electric and gas utility, steel, chemical, and railroad industries. She has performed risk assessments for a wide array of chemicals of concern related to current and former operations associated with these industries, and notably for CCP facilities that are the subject of increased regulatory attention. She is widely recognized for her passion and personal commitment to bring sound science to the assessment of risks, and is very adept at communicating risks to public and other stakeholder groups. Dr. Bradley’s experience also includes working with clients on the planning and development of strategies for multi-site programs.

Dr. Bradley has published in trade and peer reviewed journals, is a frequent speaker at conferences to report on new developments concerning risk assessment and toxicology, and is often called upon to comment on proposed regulations for respected industry organizations.

Dr. Bradley earned a Ph.D. in Toxicology from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and a B.S. in Zoology and Chemistry from the University of Idaho. In 2014, she was appointed to the National Coal Council by the U.S. Secretary of Energy to provide toxicology and risk assessment expertise to the Council. She is the Secretary and Treasurer for the American Coal Ash Association (ACAA), and is certified as a Diplomate of the American Board of Toxicology.
