Bill Johnson receives APPA Eagle Award

Vancouver, Canada (August 5, 2009) -- Haley & Aldrich is pleased to announce that Bill Johnson, Vice President, was presented with the APPA Eagle Award at the APPA 2009 Conference & Exposition.

APPA, the association serving educational facilities management professionals, presents the Eagle Award - its highest individual honor - to an individual who has been an exceptional advocate of APPA on behalf of his or her firm. Eagle Award recipients exemplify the term “partner” and consistently help APPA create real synergy for the betterment of APPA and its members, the facilities profession and their businesses. To date, the Eagle Award has been given to just 13 recipients.

"I felt honored to be recognized by APPA's staff in receiving this award,” said Johnson. “I've been involved with a number of organizations in my career and APPA is without a doubt one of the friendliest groups I belong to. Thank you APPA for the great leadership you exhibit and for this cherished honor.”

“I have had the pleasure of knowing Bill for several years now,” said Lander Medlin, APPA Executive Vice President. “Bill has an uncanny ability to create meaningful connections wherever he goes and is gracious enough to share those connections with anyone in need. This is certainly a great advantage for his company, but also those associated with him and the facilities profession. He is able to cut through issues that arise by connecting people, places, and things for a better and more meaningful outcome for all concerned. By doing this, he demonstrates the real power of synergy.”

Bill previously received the APPA 2008 Rising Star Award. He authored the APPA Facilities Manager feature article Geothermal Energy: Tapping the Potential and moderated the June 2008 APPA webinar Reducing Greenhouse Gases & Achieving Climate Neutrality.
