Haley & Aldrich Raises $20,000 to Support Children’s Hospital Boston and Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital
Firm Hosts First Annual Golf Tournament to Support Two Long-Standing Clients
August 1, 2011 (Boston, MA) -- On June 17, 2011, Haley & Aldrich hosted their first annual Haley & Aldrich Golf Tournament, a charitable golf outing to benefit two long-standing clients, Children’s Hospital Boston and Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital. The event attracted about 100 golfers from Boston-area AEC, real estate development firms and healthcare providers, and their collective sponsorships generated $20,000 in donations. The event was held at the Red Tail Golf Course in Devens, MA.
The Haley & Aldrich Golf Tournament was supported by 3 Platinum Sponsors, Alpha Analytical, Perkins + Will, and Turner Construction, and 1 Gold Sponsor, VHB - Vanasse Hangen Brustlin. According to Haley & Aldrich President/CEO Larry Smith, “I am thrilled that the development, design and construction community has come out to help Haley & Aldrich support the mission of our clients, Children’s Hospital Boston and Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital. We are proud to support these non-profit healthcare providers and honored to make these donations. We look forward to making this an annual event.”

Haley & Aldrich has worked for Children’s Hospital Boston for over 50 years, helping them design and build facilities needed to serve the health needs of children. Haley & Aldrich is working on the new Pediatric Inpatient Building under construction, where the firm is providing integrated underground engineering, environmental remediation and construction monitoring. The firm is also working on 3 renovation projects, including the Fegan Building, the Enders Pediatric Research Laboratories, and the Karp Family Research Laboratories. For the renovation projects, Haley & Aldrich is providing services including vibration monitoring during construction so that existing laboratories with vibration-sensitive work can continue during construction.

Haley & Aldrich has worked for Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital’s parent, Partners HealthCare System, for over 30 years, beginning with projects at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Massachusetts General Hospital. The firm is currently providing integrated underground engineering and environmental remediation and instrumentation services for the redevelopment of the Yard’s End site in the Charlestown Navy Yard.
