Jay Peters joins Haley & Aldrich as Risk Assessment Practice Leader
July 7, 2010 (Manchester, NH) -- Jay Peters joins Haley & Aldrich as a risk assessment practice leader in the industrial environmental business unit. Mr. Peters is a sought-after toxicologist and risk assessor with a focus on developing risk-based strategies for commercial, industrial, and government clients, as well as legal professionals. With 18 years of experience as a risk assessor, he has managed large and complex risk assessment projects for state and federal Superfund and RCRA sites, as well as brownfield redevelopment and property transfer sites under the regulatory frameworks of more than 20 state cleanup programs and 7 EPA regions.
His areas of project experience encompass sites with mixed chemical/radiological wastes, mining, petroleum, vapor intrusion, chemical manufacturing and manufactured gas plants (MGP), as well as sites impacted by PCBs and heavy metals (including firing ranges). Mr. Peters’ specialized areas of risk assessment expertise include radiological risk and dose assessments, application of bioavailability assessments, risk-based assessments for petroleum, and developing risk-based site investigation and closure strategies that contribute to the cost-benefit analysis of remedial alternatives. He is also experienced with ecological risk assessments.
