Brian centers his approach to working with clients on collaboration and listening. He seeks to understand the perspective of all stakeholders involved in a project – the client, regulators, operators, community members – to determine the most efficient and effective path forward. He then leverages his technical background and more than 15 years of experience to ensure all stakeholders have a holistic view of the project, gain buy-in, and, ultimately, determine win-win solutions for all parties. Brian works with clients and other stakeholders to execute remediation and industrial wastewater projects from design through construction, permitting, implementation, startup, continued operation, and system optimization.
When developing treatment systems and remedial programs, Brian takes a balanced approach. He relies on “tried and true” solutions when warranted but is not afraid to seek innovative technologies or approaches depending on regulatory limitations, project constraints, or when treating emerging contaminants, including per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS).
“I have an inherent desire to educate and be educated. I am invested in guiding my clients through tough problems, providing context for a new approach or technology, or finding compromises with stakeholders. At the same time, I’ve learned that when I also listen and then apply what I’ve learned – I’m able to find the highest value solutions for all parties.”
