Haley & Aldrich’s Einarson elected as an Executive Officer to Groundwater Resources Association of California

Burlington, Mass., Feb. 16, 2018 – Haley & Aldrich announced today that Murray Einarson, Haley & Aldrich Principal in Hydrogeology, was recently elected to serve a three-year term as Executive Officer, Officer in Charge of Special Projects, for the Groundwater Resources Association of California (GRA). Einarson also currently serves on the GRA Board of Directors. The GRA is a nonprofit industry association focused on protecting and improving the state of California’s groundwater supply and quality through education and technical leadership.

“Murray’s ideas and innovation in many aspects of the groundwater industry are unique and are truly appreciated by GRA,” said Christian Petersen, President, GRA.

“From professional development and educational events, to contributing to state policy and facilitating the development of alternative technologies, the GRA is significantly moving the needle toward the goal for California to sustainably manage groundwater by 2042,” Einarson said. “For the next three years I look forward to furthering the GRA mission by focusing on growing GRA membership in key areas including greater representation from water districts, growers, federal and state agencies, and water-resource engineers.”

In this new role, in addition to helping grow GRA membership within the agricultural and water engineering communities, Einarson will serve as an advisor for the GRA’s inaugural Western Groundwater Congress. He will also participate in the communications, events, and membership committees.
