Haley & Aldrich raises $30,000 to benefit Boston Children’s Hospital and Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital

Boston, MA (July 9, 2014) – Environmental and engineering company Haley & Aldrich hosted their fourth annual Haley & Aldrich Charity Golf Tournament on June 20, 2014. This charitable golf outing benefitted both Boston Children’s Hospital and Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital, two of the company's long-standing clients. The event attracted over 130 golfers from Boston-area A/E/C companies, real estate development companies and healthcare providers, and their collective sponsorships generated $30,000 in donations. The event was held at the Red Tail Golf Course in Devens, MA.

“The 2014 Haley & Aldrich Charity Golf Tournament was a great success, thanks to generous support from our corporate sponsors. We are honored to make this donation on their behalf to our clients, Boston Children’s Hospital and Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital,” said Haley & Aldrich President/CEO Larry Smith. “The event raised more money this year than ever before, and we look forward to another enjoyable tournament supporting the community next summer.”

Thirty-four companies in total sponsored the Haley & Aldrich Charity Golf Tournament, including our Platinum Sponsor, Alpha Analytical, who has sponsored the event since its inception in 2011. The tournament also attracted seven Gold Sponsors, including Bohler Engineering, BOND, Hayward Baker, James W. Flett Co., J. Derenzo Co., Suffolk Construction, and W.L. French Excavating Corp.

“Our healthcare clients have provided us with challenging and fulfilling work for many years, and we hold our annual charity golf tournament in order to support them in a way that transcends project delivery. We feel very fortunate to be supported in this endeavor by such a wonderfully generous business community,” said Liz Fennessy, Haley & Aldrich’s Healthcare Market Leader.

Haley & Aldrich has worked with Boston Children’s Hospital for over 50 years, helping them design and build facilities to serve the health needs of children. Our current work includes the Main Entrance and Lobby renovations, an addition to the Patient Family Garage, and supporting planning and schematic design for future projects.

“Boston Children’s Hospital is thankful for the continued support from Haley & Aldrich,” said Stacy Devine, Associate Director, Special Events at Boston Children’s Hospital Trust. “Their contributions to our institution continue to help improve the lives of children in New England and beyond.”

Haley & Aldrich has worked with Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital’s parent, Partners HealthCare System, for over 30 years with projects for many Partners institutions including Spaulding, Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Massachusetts General Hospital. Haley & Aldrich recently worked on the new Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital in the Charlestown Navy Yard.

Steven Patrick, Vice President of Development for Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital spoke to the golfers during the luncheon. “We are grateful to Haley & Aldrich for choosing Spaulding as one of their charity partners of their golf tournament. It is tournaments such as this that help to spread the word about the great work that Spaulding is doing, helping our patients find their strength after injury or illness,” said Patrick.
