During his career as a scientist and environmental consultant, Chris has guided many clients through the complexities of contaminated site redevelopment projects. He has led hundreds of brownfield site investigations and remediation projects, prepared scores of successful Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) grant applications, and leveraged more than $27 million in funding to help communities make the most of their redevelopment opportunities.
Chris strives to understand the goals and challenges faced by his clients, which include cities, counties, tribes, and economic development organizations, and to collaborate with all partners involved to reach success. In addition to brownfields work, Chris has led several state and federal Superfund projects and is familiar with state voluntary cleanup programs and the CERCLA process. This regulatory insight enables him to collaborate effectively with both regulators and clients to meet project goals.
“It’s amazing to see people work together to turn a blighted property into a community asset. I appreciate that I get to play a small but important role by getting funds and remediating contamination problems.”
