Brian Kirkpatrick, CWB

Program Manager, Environmental Scientist

Brian Kirkpatrick found his passion for wildlife conservation early in his career, when he saw the impacts of industrial activity while working at a factory in his native New Jersey. During his many years since as a wildlife biologist, Brian has embraced nature-based solutions to create development opportunities while conserving and creating habitats where native species thrive.

Brian is a trusted technical advisor to real estate developers, utilities, government agencies, educational institutions, and other clients. He approaches each project with the goal of balancing human infrastructure with the needs of wildlife. He is an expert at navigating the complexities of site development and regulatory compliance. One previous client said that Brian stands out because his skill set goes beyond “a solid understanding” of his areas of expertise: “What really distinguishes a good biologist who’s working as a consultant is how they’re going to not just represent the information in their field of expertise. What comes with that is the capability of being able to learn quickly what’s critical for the client.” Brian strives to deliver that level of service to everyone he partners with.

“I always try to strike a balance between providing the infrastructure humans need and enabling wildlife to flourish. It makes me happy when I can squeeze in wildlife habitat value in unexpected places.”
