Daniel (Dan) Trisler, P.E., G.E.

Principal Consultant, Geotechnical Engineering

Dan is passionate about being a strong advocate and educator for his public and private sector clients for municipal, transportation, commercial, port, and educational development projects. He uses his nearly 30 years of varied geotechnical experience to help clients balance their desired level of performance and risk with their available budget and schedule.

Dan’s clients appreciate his easy-going nature, collaborative spirit, and strong attention to detail. He keeps them informed of progress and is proactive in identifying and communicating potential project issues, impacts, and solutions.

Dan is an active member of the Southwest Washington and Portland, Oregon engineering community, serving on technical advisory groups for municipalities and committees for engineering organizations. He is a voting member of the American Society of Civil Engineers ASCE-7-22 Tsunami Loads and Effects Subcommittee that develops tsunami design standards. He has worked on planning or design of a half-dozen tsunami evacuation structures, including the first constructed in the U.S. He finds it gratifying to work on such beneficial and unique projects.
