Elizabeth strategically adapts to optimize results for clients as the lead for the in situ community of practice at Haley & Aldrich. She has implemented hundreds of in situ remedies over her career as an environmental consultant and contractor, which gives her an intimate understanding of the challenges and complexities inherent in remediating contaminants below the subsurface. This real-world experience, combined with her scientific expertise in environmental chemistry and engineering, helps Elizabeth identify the subtle factors that could impact a remedy’s effectiveness.
Elizabeth also draws from her experience to truly listen to her clients and understand their objectives. She starts with the end goal, timelines, and objectives and works back from there. She knows what in situ strategies require — from planning through design and implementation — and can recommend a prudent course of action while also responding to changing project conditions to keep things moving as efficiently as possible.
“I look at each site as its own puzzle to solve, with individual goals and challenges; I really enjoy working with the whole project team to create a successful end product that meets the regulatory, sustainability, and timeline goals.”
