Senior Principal Consultant

A highly skilled team leader who consults on the toughest underground engineering challenges, Marya provides geotechnical and environmental services on commercial development, higher education, and infrastructure projects. She guides clients from conceptual design through construction, focusing on deep foundations and excavations in dense urban areas. In every project, Marya prioritizes building strong multidisciplinary teams and collaborating with owners, architects, structural engineers, and construction managers to manage risks and reduce costs.

In addition to working on projects across the country, Marya has led projects that have transformed the city of Boston, including the Parcel 12 Air Rights project over the Mass Turnpike in the Back Bay, the development of the South Boston Seaport, and college and university campus expansions. She has also made a lasting mark at Haley & Aldrich, where she began her career and now serves as an executive leader with a relentless focus on evolving the company to meet client needs.

Marya brings the same spirit to her leadership in the engineering profession at large. A former chair of the University of New Hampshire’s Industry Advisory Board for the Civil and Environmental Engineering Department, she received the department’s Distinguished Alumni Award in 2016. Marya is also an active member of the Urban Land Institute, the Commercial Real Estate Development Association (NAIOP), CREW Boston, and the Deep Foundation Institute, and she speaks frequently on underground engineering and construction topics.
