Michael Chamberlain, P.E.

Technical Expert, Geotechnical Engineer

Michael brings technical expertise to projects that involve seismic and geotechnical engineering. He has contributed this expertise as the technical lead and project manager for many performance-based seismic design high-rise towers and has provided seismic hazard consulting for other facilities, including bridges and fuel tanks. Michael has also acted as the geotechnical project manager for a variety of projects, primarily in the development and waterfront market segments.

No matter what the assignment, Michael draws satisfaction from finding solutions for challenging problems. He communicates openly about project progress and any hurdles, earning the trust of clients and creating strong working relationships. Michael also works to advance technical understanding; he is a member of the Earthquake Engineering Research Institute, as well as the American Society of Engineers 7 Seismic Subcommittee, which works to update the seismic hazard and ground motion provisions that feed into the International Building Code.

“I enjoy working with colleagues and clients to solve challenging problems that lead to better project outcomes.”
