Rick Frechette, P.E.

Principal Engineer

Rick has an advanced sense for understanding his mining clients’ needs – whether stated or inferred – and a passion for making sure those needs are met or exceeded. He combines these abilities with his project directing skills and lessons learned from overseeing the design and construction of dozens of development, reclamation, closure, and remediation projects at sites around the globe.

Rick is a recognized thought leader in integrated closure planning for new mine facilities, including reclamation and closure of heap leach, tailings, and mine waste impoundments. He has published or presented to expert audiences at conferences in the U.S., Canada, and Chile. Rick’s hands-on experiences with permitting, operations, construction, and closure, combined with practical water balance capabilities and remediation/mitigation experience, is considered a unique skill set in the mining industry.
