Steve is known inside and outside Haley & Aldrich as a strategic project leader and one of the industry’s foremost CCR and industrial waste management experts. With nearly 30 years of consulting experience, he has provided expert technical and principal project leadership for over $350M in capital projects involving CCRs and industrial waste management for both the electric power and heavy industrial market segments including integrated steel, chemical manufacturing, and mining.
By training and practice, Steve is a geotechnical engineer; however, he has integrated his skill set with environmental management projects. These projects involve using advanced geo-environmental technologies and technical tools including multimedia modeling, risk assessment, and informed decision-making strategies to achieve efficient and technically defensible solutions for RCRA Corrective Action and management/reuse of contaminated sites. He serves as the principal engineer for a variety of industrial waste management projects which include the remediation of contaminated sites and disposal and beneficial reuse of industrial byproducts. Our electric utility and industrial clients appreciate his ability to work with their internal staff and regulatory agencies collaboratively to ensure compliant, quality deliverables.
“I am passionate about serving clients and helping them make informed decisions that will allow them to achieve their immediate and long-term project/company goals. I do that with an intentional focus on communication, anticipating technical and regulatory hurdles, and using the best tools and technical staff the industry has to offer.”
