Ian Phillips, LSP

Principal Consultant, Environmental Sciences

Ian’s relentless curiosity and client trust motivate him to find the right solutions for his client’s most difficult environmental challenges. He works with his clients to reduce their environmental liabilities and redevelop contaminated properties under RCRA, Superfund, and other federal and state regulations. For over 30 years, he has worked directly with clients and their attorneys to determine and communicate the best options for accomplishing their remediation and redevelopment goals.

Ian understands that his clients weigh their environmental options as calculated business decisions, each with its own risks. Through his experiences in the field and in the courtroom, Ian has mastered bridging communication gaps among scientists, investors, insurance companies, regulators, the public, and juries. He combines those skills with his forensic chemistry background and technical expertise to negotiate favorable outcomes for his clients while still protecting people and the environment.
