Haley & Aldrich experts to present at six sessions during the 2026 World of Coal Ash Conference

Lexington, KY.

Burlington, Mass., April 30, 2026 — Haley & Aldrich experts will present during six sessions at the World of Coal Ash (WOCA) conference happening May 4-7 in Lexington, Ky.

This conference brings together industry, consultants, government, and academia to share knowledge related to coal ash and other coal combustion residuals (CCR) management, remediation, regulatory compliance, and beneficial use. The American Coal Ash Association and the University of Kentucky Center for Applied Energy Research co-host WOCA every other year.

“It’s rare to get a chance to connect with so many others focused on CCR-related research and problem-solving, from other engineers and scientists to contractors, energy industry representatives, and regulators,” says Principal Consultant Steven Putrich. “We look forward to this opportunity to share lessons learned and to expand our knowledge.”

Haley & Aldrich staff appearances are listed below; co-authors’ names are in parentheses.

  • Jason Pokorny (Steve Putrich, Lee Saunders): “Closing CCR Impoundments with Confidence: Advanced Techniques for Compliance, Performance, and Risk Management,” May 5, 11:30 a.m.-12 p.m.
