Burlington, Mass., July 11, 2023 Haley & Aldrich announced today that former aerospace executive Adam Tucker has joined the firm as a principal consultant. Tucker will draw on his nearly three-decade career developing and leading organizationwide environmental, social, and governance (ESG) and sustainability and environmental, health, and safety (EHS) initiatives to expand Haley & Aldrich’s related services. Tucker will focus on growing and advancing Haley & Aldrich’s ESG and EHS practices, as well as the firm’s contaminated site management practice within the aerospace and industrial and manufacturing markets.

“Our clients will benefit from Adam’s deep experience building first-in-class ESG and EHS programs,” said Shawn Fiore, Haley & Aldrich’s president and chief executive officer. “Organizations of all types are particularly concerned about tackling emissions, climate change resilience, and other aspects of ESG, and Adam brings the global experience and regulatory expertise to help them navigate these rapidly evolving challenges.”

Tucker, who is based in the Washington, D.C., area, joins Haley & Aldrich from aerospace company BAE Systems Inc., where he was the vice president of safety, health, and environment and the chief safety officer. He developed the company’s road map to net-zero greenhouse gas emissions across operations and its value chain, engaging with stakeholders at all levels of the company to lead organizational change. Tucker also engaged with federal regulators in this role, building a nuanced and forward-looking perspective that enables him to guide clients through the changing ESG regulatory landscape.

Before joining BAE, Tucker led environmental policy, strategic planning, and health and safety at Cummins, a manufacturer of high-performance diesel engines. In a variety of roles, he helmed EHS operations across 400 facilities in 190 countries, developing a nuanced sense of how to communicate about risk and resilience practices across cultures. Tucker led Cummins’ strategy and risk management efforts related to environmental policy and compliance, and he was a key member of the team that earned the Campbell Award — the safety world’s most prestigious honor — for the success of the company’s EHS management program.

“I look forward to bringing my passion for sustainability and safety to Haley & Aldrich’s clients,” said Tucker. “We’re in an exciting moment for ESG and EHS, when many organizations’ drive to do right by their people, their communities, and the environment are aligning with regulatory and business incentives to do so. It’s a time when my experience and the perspectives of all of Haley & Aldrich’s resilience, ESG, and safety team members can offer valuable guidance.”

Over the course of his career, Tucker has built experience across the spectrum of ESG and EHS strategies and programs. He has conducted environmental due diligence and risk assessments for global mergers and acquisitions, liaised with executives and boards to shape strategy, and managed dozens of programs. Tucker has also explored developing technologies and new approaches, including predictive analytics and machine learning, for managing safety systems.
